PAIR OF ANTIQUE CHINESE SILK AND METALLIC THREAD TAPESTRIES 1900 KOI CARP

Pair of wonderful antique Chinese silk tapestries dating from the early 1900.
Excellent quality and very well executed tapestries, silk with metallic thread and silk thread depicting scenes of birds and Koi Carp. The detail to the tapestry is exceptional and the metallic thread adds another dimension to the scene. The tapestries have been professionally framed at a later date, probably the 1950s, with later fabric borders, and ebonized wooden frames with perspex fronts.

The wall hangings are in very good condition with no loss of thread to them, there are minimal signs of discolouration spots to the silk fabric.
