Industrial Sand Casting Flask which would make a very interesting planter or raised bed. Great for an Industrial look in the garden and would add real interest to a garden theme whether industrial or modern. Very good quality, heavy piece made from Steel with great texture and patination. Each planter is made up of 3 sections that stack on top of each other, a liner or pot can be used to hold the soil prior to planting.
Originally used a sand cast flask in a Coventry foundry. The white finish to the sections is created as a result of using a releasing agent during the process on the mould. They date from the second half of the 20th Century.
Wonderful industrial planters, great quality that would work in any garden.
Measurements excluding handle 43cm x 43cm x 24cm tall (each piece is 8cm tall). If you want a taller planter, additional sections can be stacked as shown in the photos, alternative casting flasks also available in various sizes.
