Arne Jacobsen flatware designed for the restaurant of the Royal Hotel SAS in Copenhagen, 1958. Manufactured by A. Michelsen. It is still used in this hotel today.

Although this flatware was designed for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, it was also used throughout Arne Jacobsen’s most important architectural scheme, St Catherine’s college, Oxford; with the Dom’s dining rooms having the silver plated version, whilst the student dining halls used the stainless steel version.

The Arne Jacobsen flatware is now produced by Georg Jensen, with very subtle differences between the original and what is produced today.
