19TH CENTURY WELSH ELM FOLK FARMHOUSE CHAIR Designer: Unknown
Manufacturer: Unknown
Year: 1900
Size: 61cm wide 50cm deep 110cm tall
Price: £175
Wonderful 19th Century Elm Folk Farmhouse chair, simplistic form, probably Welsh origin dates from 1870 / 1880. In wonderful original condition, retains the original black finish. This has worn over time to show the beautiful Elm wood in various places. The finish to the seat and inside of the uprights and arms has worn to expose the grain and colour of the Elm and Beech wood. The chair has a feminine appeal, the seat is narrow, measuring 34cm from upright to upright, this has also assisted in the wearing of the paint to the uprights! Good stable condition with wonderful colour and patina all over. The width of the seat between the arms is 34cm. ST1700 MAKE ENQUIRY
